Earth’s Day celebration

Earth’s Day celebration

Earth Day, celebrated on April 22nd each year, is a global reminder of the urgent need to protect our planet and promote environmental awareness. At G.D. Goenka Public School, we take this responsibility to heart and celebrate Earth Day with enthusiasm and dedication. It’s a day when our students learn about the importance of environmental conservation and pledge to become responsible stewards of our Earth. A significant part of our Earth Day celebration involves tree planting. Students, teachers, and staff come together to plant trees on the school grounds, contributing to local reforestation efforts. Students create artwork and crafts made from recycled materials, which are displayed around the school to showcase creativity and the importance of recycling. Students engage in eco-friendly competitions such as poster making, colouring and drawing competition promoting awareness and understanding of environmental issues. Through education, hands-on activities, and a commitment to sustainable living, we instill in our students the values of environmental stewardship, empathy for nature, and the understanding that we are all interconnected with the planet.
